GMHF and MEF are major investors in the 83 affordable homes being constructed as part of the new Wihinaphe Apartments, located above the Native American Community Clinic.

GMHF will provide a first mortgage for this new development, which includes one‑ to five‑bedroom homes that support larger and multigenerational households.

The 40-unit Poplar Apartments are designed for individuals who have experienced homelessness. GMHF provided a $3.2M construction loan to support the project.

These critical investments will preserve and improve 129 units of Section 8 affordable housing for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.

Thanks to a generous $635,000 program-related investment, GMHF was able to support a local developer with the acquisition and preservation of 29 family-sized apartments in Minneapolis.

Our $2 million construction loan was a key piece of financing to help bring these affordable homeownership opportunities to life.

GMHF is providing a construction/bridge loan as well as LIHTC equity investment from the Minnesota Equity Fund to preserve a Section 8 property in Washington County.

The Star Tribune's Evan Ramstad covered Leech Lake Financial Services work to add homes on the reservation, including GMHF's $1 million loan to finance the construction or remodel of homes.

The 32-unit permanent supportive housing property in Minneapolis will undergo significant rehabilitation thanks to support from GMHF and the Minnesota Equity Fund.
