We’re proud to celebrate a major milestone for one of our Emerging Developers Program participants.
Over the past several years, GMHF has had the opportunity to partner with James Crumble as he advanced his development work, providing training opportunities and early-stage financing that supported his projects as they moved forward.
Today, James’s company, 1st Class Residential Properties, is working in partnership with nonprofit affordable housing developer Trellis on the New Nicollet project, a transformational, community-rooted development bringing affordable homes, youth spaces, and neighborhood-serving amenities to Minneapolis.
The project will include approximately 119 mixed-income apartments for families and individuals with incomes at an average of less than 50% of area median income (AMI). Homes will range in size from one- to four- bedrooms and prioritize high-quality and convenient common area and unit amenities. Residents and community members will benefit from the programming, services, and retail space co-developed at the New Nicollet site with Neighborhood Development Center and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.
