Over the last few years, James Crumble has grown into a skilled, community-based developer, and is now set to partner with Trellis on a major redevelopment project in Minneapolis.

A coalition of public and private partners, including GMHF, supported this project, which will help Native families in Minneapolis have a stable home and the services they need to thrive.

GMHF provided a predevelopment grant through the Emerging Developers Program to support planning for the 34 family-sized homeownership units.

The City of Minneapolis featured local emerging developer James Crumble in their 2024 Impact Report, who was able to purchase a 29-unit NOAH property with City and GMHF funding.
