Over the last few years, James Crumble has grown into a skilled, community-based developer, and is now set to partner with Trellis on a major redevelopment project in Minneapolis.

Thanks to a generous $635,000 program-related investment, GMHF was able to support a local developer with the acquisition and preservation of 29 family-sized apartments in Minneapolis.

The 32-unit permanent supportive housing property in Minneapolis will undergo significant rehabilitation thanks to support from GMHF and the Minnesota Equity Fund.

A coalition of public and private partners, including GMHF, supported this project, which will help Native families in Minneapolis have a stable home and the services they need to thrive.

The City of Minneapolis featured local emerging developer James Crumble in their 2024 Impact Report, who was able to purchase a 29-unit NOAH property with City and GMHF funding.

Minnesota Women's Press profiled Adriane Epps, who recently got approval to develop his first affordable housing project, thanks in part to support from our Emerging Developers Program.

MPR News featured the celebration to kickoff the new Native American Community Clinic, which will incorporate 83 homes over the new health center.

GMHF and the Minnesota Equity Fund are proud partners in the rehabilitation of the Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center in Minneapolis.

The initiative will develop eight sites in north Minneapolis into a triplex and duplexes. GMHF provided a predevelopment grant and a construction loan to support the project.
