Energy Development Convening

Please join the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund for the next Energy Development Convening on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd.

This convening brings together rural housing developers, community development organizations, public agencies, Tribal partners, and energy practitioners to explore strategies for advancing energy-smart, resilient affordable housing across Greater Minnesota.

Together, we’ll examine how energy efficiency, resilience, and high-performance housing strategies can better support communities across Greater Minnesota. The discussion will highlight emerging rural and Tribal project examples, available public and private financing tools, technical assistance opportunities, and the partnerships required to move more projects from concept to implementation.

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of current opportunities fostering high-performance housing – including new state and federal incentives, no-cost technical assistance, and ways to access concessionary debt from GMHF – as well as shared barriers and practical ways to support a stronger pipeline of rural housing and energy innovation across the state.
