Announcing Our New Strategic Plan

Greater Minnesota Housing Fund is proud to share our 2026-2029 Strategic Plan. This roadmap will strengthen our commitment to addressing Minnesota’s housing needs and supporting communities across the state.

Mission Statement

At the heart of this plan is our refreshed mission:

We support the development of strong communities and affordable homes for all Minnesotans through access to low-cost capital, effective partnerships, and innovative solutions to local housing needs.

Priorities

Over the next four years, we will focus on four strategic priorities to achieve our mission:

• Partner for greater impact
• Leverage our influence for greater sector impact
• Maintain our operational and financial strength

• Pursue growth and lead innovation in the field
• Build community capacity
• Foster healthy and sustainable development practices
• Collaborate to advance public policy and improve systems
• Convene stakeholders and partner within the affordable housing field and across sections
• Measure our impact
• Maintain our strong financial and operational strength

Key Metrics and Goals

By the end of 2029, we aim to achieve the following outcomes:

• $715 million in capital deployed
• $2.5 billion in total development costs mobilized
• 5,440 homes created or preserved
• $5 million in strategic grant support awarded for capacity building, innovation, and a healthy housing ecosystem
• 4,300 hours of technical assistance provided
• Support policy solutions to expand housing resources and improve system effectiveness across Minnesota
